Mission Statement

The primary mission of Andrews School is to provide a meaningful educational opportunity to all students, enabling them to develop their maximum intellectual, physical, and social capacity in order to provide them with the first step toward becoming contributing responsible citizens of society.

Our Belief Statement

  • We believe students should be provided with a safe environment at school in which boundary, structure, and discipline are established in a child-centered, nurturing manner.

  • We believe all students can learn when a variety of meaningful educational opportunities are utilized to build upon their strengths and experiences.

  • We believe that integrity and mutual respect between student, parents, staff, and community are fundamental for communication and a successful school relationship.

  • We believe that all children need to feel that they are part of the community as a whole.

  • We believe that we as educators have a rold in fostering that sense of belonging.

  • We believe that all time at school should be productive.

  • We believe all students can benefit from an educational environment where all differences are valued and individual needs are addressed.

  • We believe in order to prepare students for success, teachers must enhance their own skills and knowledge through effective staff development and opportunities to work collaboratively.

School Goals

Andrews students will exit fifth grade as successful readers and writers who meet or exceed national, state, and local standards.

The Andrews Educational Community will provide the tools, skills, and a safe environment for students at Andrews to achieve their dreams through the development and implementation of an integrated social development system.
